Gel Coat Repairs

Well I have a couple of weeks before GGSKS and I just bought a new expedition boat, a P&H cetus HV, so I have dry docked my NDK Romany Excel for much needed gelocat repairs. I took a couple of good rock hits this summer and had a few growing patches of spidering around the impacts. One of those turned out to be a fairly large chunk of gelcoat that was loose and chipping all the way to the glass. Once I have the whole process done Ill post how I did it along with some pictures.  If all else fails Ill take it to Ronda Schwab at Kayakers Go Coastal to have my handy work fixed.

aca logo_2blueMy self and three others made the conscious decision to embark on a journey to become certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA) as Open Water Coastal Kayak Instructors. We did this in the dead of winter enduring snow, rain, freezing temps, frigid waters, flat tires, frozen fingers, and bloody head wounds.

In the beginning. . .

Well I felt it was time to redo my website as my old one had not been posted to for over 2 years. It is a new year and a new beginning. As you can tell this site is paddling oriented. I took up the sport 2 years ago after 6 years of road cycling. I finally came to the realization that spandex and cycling jerseys were so over rated. So I indulged myself and finally made the leap into kayaking one fateful day in December 2010.
